The Engagement Session is meant to be really fun and romantic. Plus it gets some amazing images for the Save-the-Dates. The Engagement Session is a great way to start to feel comfortable in front of the camera. It also helps us get to know each other before the wedding day. I have lots of ideas, so call me and we can create a concept together.

Engagement Session Tips…

Plan a fun date together, go on a beautiful hike at sunset, or a laid-back portrait session in your home...

Keep in mind lighting is everything. Early morning or late afternoon near sunset is the best time to create gorgeous photos.

Chose outfits that compliment each other, but aren’t too “matchy, match”. Solid colors work best.

FAQ.png
How would you describe your photography style?

Stylish, Adventurous, and Romantic of course!

How did you become interested in wedding photography?

Wedding Photography is the best way to combine my love for stylish, adventurous, and romantic things into one. I started shooting weddings and engagements for close friends and family. I felt so elated to be a part of making their wedding special, that I decided I wanted to be in the business of weddings always and forever. I enjoy the emotion that weddings bring that is lacking in other genres of photography. I am a romantic at heart, so it only felt natural to document weddings. I enjoy incorporating my love for fashion and travel photography into my wedding photography.

Where are you located?

I am based in the beautiful mountains surrounding Asheville, NC. I live on a gorgeous farm, with endless views of the Blue Ridge mountains, where I often invite my clients for couple and family shoots. I spent much of my twenties traveling, so I absolutely adore traveling for destination weddings. I also have many clients in Atlanta, GA where I was based for 5 years.

What are your typical clients like?

My clients are as unique as their love stories. However all my clients have an appreciation for authentic storytelling and dreamy, whimsical romance.

How long does it take to receive our wedding collection?

Please expect up to 6 weeks for all the final photos to be edited and uploaded to the online web gallery. Shooting the wedding, is just a fraction of the work that goes into creating the final photos for your wedding collection. I spend a significant amount of time carefully crafting the digital files into beautiful images, suitable for online use and printing.

What are the advantages of a second shooter?

If your wedding has more than 150 guests, it is recommended to have a second shooter. A second shooter is especially helpful during the ceremony, first looks, and capturing smaller details throughout the wedding. You can choose to have a full-day second shooter or a partial-day second shooter. I select a second shooter from my network of other photographer friends whom I really respect and trust. A second shooter simply means you will have many more photos added to your wedding collection.

What is your favorite part of the wedding day?

My favorite part of the wedding is the moment immediately after the two love birds are officially announced as husband and wife. Right after they walk out of the aisle, that they share an ecstatic, and authentic moment alone together of pure joy.

What can we expect the day of the wedding?

I simply document the events of the wedding day as they unfold. My style is photojournalistic, however I will gently give direction and suggestions throughout the day when needed. More posed, directed images take place during the family and wedding party portraits. During the wedding couple portrait session, I allow the bride & groom to enjoy each others company without too much interference. This way I get the most authentic and natural reactions. Then I will guide the wedding couple into a few ‘must have’ posed shots. During the reception, I like to take lots of candid photos of guests, and sweet moments between the bride & groom. We will go over the wedding day timeline during planning, to make sure enough time is allotted for all the photos.
